Abstract

The aim of the research is to examine the effect of organizational justice perceptions of employees in 5 star hotel businesses on organizational cynicism with the moderating role of their attitudes towards money. In this context, organizational justice, attitude towards money and organizational cynicism are examined in detail. The research was carried out on employees in 5-star hotel establishments in Istanbul and Antalya in September 2019. Within the scope of the study, 715 people were reached. Partial least squares were analyzed by structural equation modeling. According to the results of the research, it was concluded that the effect of organizational justice on organizational cynicism and the attitude towards money had a regulatory effect. In other words, even if there is an injustice in the organization, the attitudes of the employees towards money have had an impact on organizational cynicism. While injustice should cause cynicism under normal circumstances, employees' attitudes towards money suppressed this behavior. This shows that money in the modern world is ahead of justice.
