Destinasyonu Yerinde Ziyaret Etme Eğilimi Bakımından Sanal Turların Virtualrooming Olarak Değerlendirilmesi: Bir Karma Yöntem Çalışması (Evaluation of Virtual Tours as Virtualrooming in Terms of the Tendency to Visit the Destination on Site: A Mixed Metho

Bu çalışmada, pandemiyle birlikte kitleselleşen yeni bir uygulama sayılan çevrim içi rehberli sanal turlar üzerinden sanal turlara ve turist rehberliği bağlamında kullanımına yönelik olarak bütüncül bakış açısı sağlamak amacıyla karma yöntem araştırmalarının yakınsayan paralel deseni kapsamında nicel ve nitel veriler eşzamanlı olarak toplanmıştır. Veriler, nitel aşamada toplamda 22 katılımcıdan görüşme yoluyla ve nicel aşamada Teknoloji Kabul Modelinden uyarlanan anket uygulanarak 464 katılımcıdan elde edilmiştir. Çalışmanın bulgularına göre çevrim içi rehberli sanal turlara katılanların kabul düzeyinin yüksek olduğu, sanal turu deneyimleyen kullanıcılarda destinasyonu yerinde ziyaret etme eğilimini arttırdığı, bu sanal turların kullanım açısından rahat bulunduğu, algılanan faydasının yüksek olduğu, bu sanal turlara katılan katılımcılarda ücret ödeme istekliliğinin görüldüğü ve gerçek bir turist rehberi eşliğinde düzenlenmesinin ayırt edici düzeyde olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Çalışmanın bulguları ışığında, pazarlama alanında yaygın olarak bilinen webrooming ve showrooming kavramlarından hareketle sanal turlara uyarlanan yeni bir kavram olarak “virtualrooming” kavramı ortaya atılmıştır. Turizm alanyazınına ilk kez bu çalışmayla birlikte kazandırılan virtualrooming kavramı tanım olarak, kullanıcıların sanal tur deneyiminin ardından destinasyonu yerinde ziyaret etmesi şeklinde açıklanmıştır.
