In the historical process, there are various developments in the global and local sense and these developments transform industrial and social life in various ways. This change, which gained speed with the First Industrial Revolution, eventually experiences its peak with Industry 4.0, and information and information technologies come to the fore. These
developments affect various sectors closely. The food and beverage sector, which is a service intensive sector, is also affected by new industrial developments. Internet of things, 3D printers, robotics applications etc. have started to be seen in restaurants. These applications simplify and alter restaurant operations. However, with the changes experienced and information technologies, new applications in which restaurants are completely transformed as a concept are emerging. Cloud kitchen (ghost kitchen, dark kitchen, shadow kitchen) is the most well-known and pioneer of these. Cloud kitchen concept, which takes takeaway to the foreground, reduces customer contact to zero, can work together with many different brands and concepts, has low entry cost, and offers fast and clean delivery opportunities, has become a growing trend in a global sense. A conceptual analysis was made in this study which examined cloud kitchen, a new concept in the restaurant sector. In the literature, there is a lack of research on this issue, and it is expected that future empirical studies will benefit from this.
