Göreme and Uçhisar, located in the Cappadocia region, are among the regions frequently visited by tourists in Turkey with their natural beauty and history. Göreme and Uçhisar attract people to this region with their natural and historical opportunities as well as their unique wines, and this plays a role in improving the tourism potential of the region. In wine tourism studies carried out to date, researchers have focused on the winery visits of tourists participating in wine tourism, their wine tastings and the effects of these activities on regional tourism. On the other hand, as a result of the literature review, it was determined that there has not been any research on the contribution of local restaurants, which can offer different wine flavors as much as wineries, to wine tourism. The data of Tripadvisor.com was used for this study, which aims to evaluate the wine tourism potential of Göreme and Uçhisar through the restaurants operating in the region. In this study, content analysis method was used in collecting data and examining comments. According to the findings, it was determined that the food service in Göreme and Uçhisar restaurants is quite good, and foreign tourists generally like local wine varieties. As a result, wine tourism takes place not only in wineries or wine houses, but also in restaurants that offer local delicacies. Tourists, who experience the gastronomic delicacies of that region in restaurants, also taste the wines of the region. In this way, restaurants are also becoming an important part of wine tourism. In this respect, it was found that restaurants that offer local gastronomic delicacies contribute significantly to the wine tourism potential of that region.
