Yetişkin Bireylerde Gıda Neofobi Düzeyinin Belirlenmesi (Determination of Food Neophobia Level in Adult Individuals)

Food neophobia has been the subject of many academic studies in recent years, which means not to consume food and beverages from non-traditional, different country kitchens. In this study, individuals living in Turkey to determine the level of food neophobia and with neophobia level aims to explain the relationship between demographic characteristics of individuals. In the study, quantitative research methods were used and data was used as a survey. The data were obtained from individuals working in different private companies in Ankara and Istanbul in November and December of 2017. The 11 phrases in the scale were collected in one dimension as food neophobia. Significant differences were obtained according to some descriptive statistics of the participants. The level of food neophobia of the participants was low compared to the results of other studies in the literature. In addition, it has been observed that the level of food neophobia affects education and abroad. Other demographic variables were not different.
