Lezzetin Nostaljisi: Yiyecek ve Bellek İlişkisi Üzerine (The Nostalgia of Taste: Depending on the Relationship of Food and Memory)

The existing relationship between taste-food-memory is a topic worth examining not only for a personal aspect but also for a social aspect. This study examines the perception of taste, the types of memories in which this perception is registered, and the gastronostalgia concept by means of the synthesis of approaches from various scientific fields, and that it intends to make a contribution by looking with a different perspective on the literature of gastronomy. In addition to the studies in the literature, in order to better understand the subject, especially in the neurological context, the opinions of some academics have consulted a large number of studies in the field of neurology were consulted and their personal opinions were included in the text. The results show that the individual's personal meal memories are encoded in episodic memory.
