Dışarıda Yeme Olgusuna Yeni Bir Yaklaşım Olarak “Şefi Eve Çağırma” (As a New Approach to Eat Out “Chef at Home”)

Abstract

In this study, it is aimed to determine the point of view of consumers and chefs on the practice of calling the chef home. In this study, the application of calling chef home is conceptually analyzed in the scope of the phenomenon of dining out. After this step, to reflect the views about the application in detail, interviews are held with 20 consumers and 8 chefs who are chosen to represent the demand and supply dimension. One of the attention-grabbing results of the research is that chefs and consumers have a generally positive, willing approach towards calling chef home application. Most of the participants (%70) stated that this activity will not replace of dining out soon because of different reasons. On the other hand, participants said that they are more willing to benefit from the application on special occasions such as marriage ceremonies, anniversaries, birthdays (%80) and they believe that they will feel special (%75) if they experience the application.
