Abstract

Nowadays is mediated by various goods and services of individuals to meet their needs. The concept of need creates a variation from individual to individual. The differentiation in meeting the requirements; It provides a wide range, which can be illustrated with examples such as social, psychological, economic and intellectual needs. Each of these requirements is identified with the person. It is for this reason that the individual tries to differentiate with some goods and services consumed in order to attain physical comfort and to feel well, spiritually, aesthetically and intellectually. With this differentiation, the individual hopes to have a prestige both in the organization and in social life. With the proliferation of technologies that allows sharing on social media such as Facebook and Instagram, conspicuous consumption, which makes the intended prestige accessible, is also triggered. One of the most well-known among the conspicuous consumption forms is overtourism consumption and tourism expenditures. It is a center of attraction with locations where the conspicuous consumption, life capacity and socio-cultural features. In this sense, these regions have to host tourists over their current capacity. From this point of view, this study is carried out within the framework of the Veblen Theory in the context of expenditure type and population movements, since it is both for display purposes and causes over agglomeration in a region.
