Comparative Analysis of Number of Tourist Arrivals in Turkey and Tourism Revenue According to Data of Turkish Statistical Institute-TurkStat

Abstract

The present study analyzed the revised number of tourist arrivals in Turkey between 2001
and 2012 and tourism revenue figures thereof published by Turkish Statistical Institute.
The results of analysis detected that the number of tourist arrivals and tourism revenue
figures are not parallel to each other by years. The study also exhibits the fact that
differentiation in nationalities of the tourists affect the tourism revenue.
