International travel, Travel consumption, New middle classAbstract
When travel is examined in terms of developing countries, an increase is observed in domestic and international travels of the growing middle classses in these countries. However, since this phenomenon has been tried to be understood from the Western perspective for many years, it is seen that there is a gap about how individuals in developing countries travel and whether their mobilities are different from those of developed countries. Therefore, this study aims to examine the international travel consumption of the new middle class in developing countries. At this point, it is emphasized that carrying out studies focusing both sociology of tourism and consumption practices in developing countries will enrich the theories of tourism consumption.
