Abstract

The aim of this research is to investigate the differences between the expectations of the service quality of the destination and the perceived service quality of the ecotourists visiting the Eastern Black Sea Region in terms of various variables (gender, age group, educational level, average monthly income level, average expenditure amount during the tour and number of ecotourism tours). The population of the study consists of domestic ecotourists who participated in ecotourism tours (ecotours) in the Eastern Black Sea Region in 2017-2018. ECOSERV scale was used to determine the service quality expectations and perceptions of the ecotourists for the Eastern Black Sea destination. In this context, 400 domestic ecotourists were surveyed. As a result of this research; significant differences were found between ecotourists’ gender, age group, average expenditure amount during tour and their expectations for service quality. And also significant differences were found between ecotourists’ gender, age group, education level, average monthly income level, average expenditure amount during the tour, number of participation in ecotourism tours and perceived service quality.
