Narnia Günlükleri ve Türk Lokumu Arasındaki İlişki Üzerine Bir İnceleme (A Review on the Relationship Between the Chronicles of Narnia and Turkish Delight)

Turkish delight, which is one of the traditional Turkish desserts, has a very important place as a gastronomic value and cultural heritage item. Turkish delight, known to exist in the Anatolian geography since the 14th century, entered the Ottoman Palace menu in the 17th century. Turkish delight, which took its final form in the 18th century, has managed to take its place in the world dessert literature with its taste and shape, and its cultural and historical importance. Turkish Delight was firstly known as "Lumps of Delight" and then as "Turkish Delight" and impressed people with its taste. Turkish delight has taken its place in many fields such as literature, cinema and music. Of these, C.S. Turkish delight in The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, the second book in the Chronicles of Narnia fantasy novel series written by Lewis, was enthusiastically received by the fans of the series. It is possible to come across various traces of Turkish culture in the book. The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between the Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe and Turkish delight. In this study, which was carried out using archive/document scanning, one of the qualitative research methods, the book series The Chronicles of Narnia was mentioned in general and the relationship between Turkish delight was revealed by examining the story of Aslan, Witch and Wardrobe, which is the main purpose of this study. The Turkish delight recipe in the Chronicles of Narnia is presented by giving general information about the Second World War and its effects and Turkish delight. With the data obtained, it was concluded that there is a relationship between the book The Lion The Witch and the Wardrobe in the Chronicles of Narnia series and Turkish delight.
