This study aims to compile and discuss the existing literature on green leadership as a contemporary issue, to understand the developments in this field better, and to propose suggestions for future research. A systematic literature review, one of the qualitative research methods, was adopted for this purpose. The Web of Science database was searched using keywords such as "green," "sustainability," "leadership," and "tourism." Based on the search results, 85 studies were identified, and after applying inclusion and exclusion criteria, 30 studies were included in the analysis. The findings reveal that "Green Transformational Leadership" is the most commonly examined leadership style by academics in the tourism and hospitality sectors. Additionally, "Green Servant Leadership" and "Green Inclusive Leadership" were frequently investigated leadership styles. Although less commonly, the concepts of "Green Authentic Leadership" and "Green Leadership" in general were also observed in the studies. Furthermore, the study found that mediating variables were used more frequently than moderating variables. This indicates that existing research on green leadership has predominantly focused on mediating mechanisms to explain the impact of leadership styles.
