Abstract

The Covid-19 outbreak is a viral-origin disease that has affected the whole world and was detected in 2019 in China. Although the course of the pandemic is different in each country, social isolation and generally long quarantine periods have created various stress factors in individuals. This stress and the periods of coping with it have also changed the eating habits of the individuals. While individuals are trying to be protected from the pandemic, they can cause weight gain and different diseases by overfeeding in order to protect themselves from the effects of the virus. In this study, the effects of students' perceived stress level during the Covid-19 pandemic period on healthy eating behaviours were investigated. 138 students participating in the study, and their demographic characteristics were also examined. As a result, it has been determined that students' perceived stress levels are high during the Covid-19 pandemic period, which affects healthy eating behaviours and stress coping periods affect nutritional feelings.
