developed in English, to conduct validity and reliability analysis. For this purpose,
firstly the scale items were translated into Turkish by field experts. Secondly, field
research was conducted on employees of tourism businesses that operate in Mersin. In
explanatory and confirmatory factor analysis was carried out to test the validity of the
scale. As a result of explanatory factor analysis, the correlation values of the six items
which has structural validity are between 0,564 and 0,751. Respectively the values for
Cronbach's alpha coefficient of the odd-numbered items are 0,727; even-numbered
scale items are 0,740; randomly selected 59 survey is 0,824 and randomly selected 56
survey is 0,883; and finally 0,851 was determined for the entire scale. As a result of
testing single-factor structure with confirmatory factor analysis, X2/df=1,93;
RMSEA=0,091; AGFI=0,89; GFI=0.95; CFI=0.98; AVE=0,50, CR=0,86 was
calculated. These findings confirm that Employee Advocacy Scale is a reliable and a
valid measurement tool.
