In the study, by focusing on the police museums through the function of museums in overcoming the alienation from the social organs; it is aimed to reveal the role of these museums in reducing the alienation from the public order, police organization and policing profession. In addition to this, to evaluate these museums’ place in tourism activity as a tourism product is another aim of the study. In this direction; T.C. Polis Müzesi/Rebuplic of Türkiye Police Museum opened in Ankara on April 9, 2021 as the first and only police museum in Türkiye examined on site with the illustrative case study technique. The research conducted within the single case pattern which was built as embedded/multiple analysis units, in which “overcoming alienation” and “tourism product” were decided as the analysis units. Consequently; it is understood that the police museums are an important tool in overcoming the alienation of the society from the public order organs. It is noted that the museum has the characteristics of introducing the police organization, attracting the attention of individuals towards the profession, and having and educational mission in the society. In addition, evaluations were made on the contribution of such museums to domestic and foreign tourism as a tourism product.
