Achilles Syndrome, also known as the hidden fear of failure, is seen in people who are really successful, but who do not find themselves successful like others, who feel inadequate and make more effort, and who have intense anxiety. When the situation is considered in terms of the service sector, it is predicted that the individual who has hidden fear of failure will not be able to fully achieve job satisfaction due to intense anxiety and stress, and short-term relaxation will not be sufficient for the busy pace of work in the service sector. The main purpose of this study is to provide detailed information about the emergence of Achilles Syndrome, also known as the hidden fear of failure, the symptoms of the hidden fear of failure, why it is important and its relationship with job satisfaction in the service sector. In this study, which is a conceptual review, the concept of Achilles Syndrome, which has not been studied much in the literature, is explained in detail in connection with the service sector, and it is emphasized that the hidden fear of failure experienced by employees in the service sector can affect the job satisfaction of the employees. In the study, it has been stated that individuals with Achilles Syndrome do not realize what is good and what is bad, cannot provide job satisfaction and individuals only experience relief for a short time despite completing their tasks.
