Abstract

In the formation of food culture of the region, many factors are influential such as geographical features, climatic conditions, tradition and lifestyle prevailing in the vegetated area. When food culture is considered, street food dominates the region and provides the most natural and simple way of providing information about local cuisine. Street meals are important in terms of ensuring the transfer of information experienced as a part of the cultural routine in the region. This work is based on the examination of the Street flavors of Toronto and Los Angeles using interview and observation techniques. The sellers who show the participation to the research constitute the sample of the researcher. The obtained data are shared with reference to street flavors in Turkey. Street flavors in different cultures are often fast food-style products. The range of products and the area of production vary according to the position of the price sale at the same time. In the field literature there is no similar examination in terms of street flavors of different cultures. For this reason, it is thought that the research will benefit the literature.
