Abstract

Gastronomy tourism refers to touristic experiences that contribute to the economy of
touristic destinations and spread throughout the year. Today, tourist tours organized in
many regions of the world to experience this experience are becoming more and more
popular every day. In our country, the cuisines of different destinations are facing the
increasing interest of gastro-tourists. In response to this interest, businesses in tourist
destinations also have to pay more attention to the satisfaction of gastro tourists. In this
study, Urla, which has become one of Turkey's favorite tourist destinations in recent years
Tripadvisor.com it is aimed to investigate the factors affecting gastro tourist satisfaction
related to the top 10 restaurants that score the most. Data of the study was collected between
January 1, 2020 - December 31, 2020. Content analysis technique was used as the research
method of the study. In this process, firstly, tables were created by coding the satisfaction
comments and themes related to the restaurants separately with the Microsoft Excel
program. In the next stage, the collected data were transferred to the SPSS v26 program
and interpreted by subjecting frequency and percentage analysis. As a result of the research,
it was determined that gastro tourists are satisfied with the restaurants in the Urla region in
terms of taste, quality of service, variety of food, quality of food, ambience, price, hygiene
and portion size, respectively.
