Submission

Manuscripts submitted to Journal of Tourism and Gastronomy Studies (JOTAGS) must be prepared in accordance with the journal’s Author Guidelines. Authors are strongly advised to carefully review these guidelines prior to submission to ensure compliance with formatting, referencing, and ethical standards.

As the journal does not operate an online manuscript submission system, all manuscripts must be submitted electronically via e-mail to jotags.net. Submissions should be sent as a complete manuscript file, including all required components, to the official journal e-mail address.

Before the peer-review process begins, authors are required to pay a participation fee to cover page layout, publishing, and DOI registration expenses. This fee is charged to support the technical and administrative costs of the publication process and is not contingent upon the acceptance or rejection of the manuscript. Payment of the participation fee does not guarantee publication.

Only manuscripts that comply with the journal’s submission requirements and ethical standards will be considered for the review process.

Review and Publication Process

Journal of Tourism and Gastronomy Studies (JOTAGS) applies a rigorous double-blind peer-review process to ensure academic quality, objectivity, and scholarly integrity.

1. Initial Editorial Evaluation: Each manuscript is first reviewed by the editorial team to assess its scope, originality, methodological adequacy, and compliance with the journal’s policies and ethical standards.

2. Double-Blind Peer Review: Manuscripts that pass the initial evaluation are sent to two independent reviewers with relevant expertise in the field. The identities of both authors and reviewers remain anonymous throughout the process.

3. Review Outcomes: Based on the reviewers’ reports, a manuscript may be: Accepted; Accepted subject to minor or major revisions; Returned for resubmission with substantial revisions; or Rejected.

4. Revision Process: For manuscripts requiring revisions, authors are expected to address the reviewers’ comments in detail. Revised manuscripts are evaluated by the same reviewers to ensure that the requested revisions meet academic standards.

5. Final Decision and Acceptance: An official acceptance letter is issued after the successful completion of the revision process and final editorial approval.

6. Publication Notification: The corresponding author is informed of the anticipated publication date once the manuscript has been accepted for publication.
