Rekabet Eden Değerler Yaklaşımına Göre Yönetsel Liderlik Rolleri: Konaklama İşletmelerinde Bir Geçerlilik ve Güvenirlik Çalışması (Managerial Leadership Roles According to Competing Values Approach: A Validity and Reliability Study in Hospitality Businesses)

In this study, it is aimed to translate the Competing Values Competence Questionnaire that was developed by Quinn et al. (2011) which calculates individual managerial leadership skills by scoring, will be translated into Turkish in the context of cultural differences and brought into the national literature as a scale. The random sampling method was preferred for the study and 252 managers, four managers (two middle and two senior level) from 63 four and five-star winter hotels registered with TÜRSAB, participated in the survey for data collection. According to the results of the confirmatory factor analysis, the factor loads of the remaining 28 items in the scale were higher than 0.32 and the t values of all items were significant. The Cronbach Alpha coefficients of the dimensions were found to be 0.60 for cooperation-focused competence, 0.74 for control-focused competence, 0.71 for competition-focused competence and 0.65 for creativity-focused competence, and the item-total correlation detected for all items ranged from 0.28 to 0.60. According to the findings of the validity and reliability analysis, it has been determined that the Competing Values Competency Scale is a reliable and valid scale with its 28 items and 4 dimensions.
