About the Journal

The Journal of Tourism and Gastronomy Studies (JOTAGS) is a peer-reviewed, open-access scholarly journal that publishes original research articles, review papers, and conceptual/theoretical contributions in the fields of tourism and gastronomy. The journal aims to advance academic knowledge and foster interdisciplinary dialogue by disseminating rigorous and methodologically sound studies with practical and theoretical relevance.

JOTAGS is published quarterly, ensuring the regular and timely dissemination of high-quality research. Manuscripts are accepted in English or Turkish, and the journal welcomes submissions from researchers affiliated with diverse institutions and countries.

All submissions undergo an initial editorial screening to assess scope, originality, methodological adequacy, and compliance with journal guidelines. Manuscripts that pass this stage are evaluated through a double-blind peer-review process conducted by independent experts in the relevant field.

Authors are required to prepare and submit their manuscripts in accordance with the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (APA), 7th edition, and the journal’s author guidelines.

Archiving Policiy

Journal of Tourism and Gastronomy Studies (JOTAGS) recognizes the importance of long-term preservation and accessibility of its published content. To ensure continued access to the scholarly record in the event that the journal ceases publication or becomes unavailable online, the journal follows an electronic archiving and preservation strategy.

All published content is archived in stable institutional repositories and through digital preservation services to ensure that research outputs remain accessible over time. The journal maintains copies of all articles in multiple formats and locations, and participates in third-party archiving initiatives when available.

In addition to maintaining its own archival records, JOTAGS encourages indexing and preservation through recognized scholarly platforms and repositories, and cooperates with libraries and digital preservation services to maximize the longevity and accessibility of its content.
