Ejder Meyvesi Üretimi ve Tarım-Turizm Entegrasyonu: Yerel Üreticilerin Görüşlerine Dayalı Nitel Bir Araştırma (Dragon Fruit Production and Agriculture-Tourism Integration: A Qualitative Research Based on Local Producers' Opinions)

Öz

Çalışmanın amacı, Muğla’da yetiştirilen ejder meyvesinin üretim sürecini, mevcut durumunu inceleyerek üretim koşulları ile ilgili çeşitli teknikleri ortaya koymaktır. Ayrıca ejder meyvesi üretimi kapsamında tarım ve turizm işletmelerinin entegrasyonunu tespit ederek, ilişkilerini güçlendirebilmek için uygulanabilir öneriler sunmaktır. Çalışmada nitel veri araştırma yöntemlerinden görüşme tekniği kullanılmıştır. Çalışmada amaçlı örneklem kapsamında kartopu örneklem yöntemi kullanılarak bölgedeki üreticilerle yüz yüze görüşmeler yapılmış ve veriler içerik analizine tabi tutulmuştur. Buna göre, Muğla’da aşılama, köklendirme, gübreleme, sulama üretim tekniği ile nisan ayında kumlu, taşlı, geçirgen toprağa ekilen, ortalama 15 yıl ekonomik ömrü olan ejder meyvesinin yaz aylarında hasadının yapıldığı, çoğunlukla kırmızı ve beyaz türünün üretildiği, her geçen yıl daha fazla ürün alındığı belirlenmiştir. Üretim başlangıcında sera kurulumu ve fide temininin maliyetli olmasına rağmen, üretim sürecindeki gübreleme, ilaçlama, işçilik maliyetlerinin düşük olduğu ve bu durumun üreticilere maliyet-kar açısından avantaj sağladığı belirlenmiştir. Büyük otel işletmelerinin ürüne yönelik talebinin fazla olmasına rağmen tarım ve turizm işletmeleri arasında henüz kurumsallaşmış bir entegrasyon yapısının olmadığı sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.
