The main purpose of this qualitative research is to understand the lifestyles of vegan individuals and the motivations behind these preferences. As part of the research, a literature review was conducted first, and studies on vegan nutrition and consumption motivations were examined and evaluated. In line with the information obtained, six interview questions were prepared in order to determine the direction of the research. A total of 63 people participated in the study. The research addressed issues such as how individuals decided to become vegan, what were the strongest motivations for making this decision, the eating habits they adopted before becoming vegan, whether veganism was just a dietary preference or a lifestyle, how it affected their social lives, and what veganism meant to them over time. The research findings showed that individuals mostly turned to veganism due to the emotional impact of their past experiences, their greatest motivation was animal rights, they had omnivorous eating habits before becoming vegan, they had difficulties in their social lives, especially due to limited options in restaurants, and their sensitivity towards animal rights increased over time. In addition, it was concluded that 86% of the participants adopted veganism as a lifestyle.
