Öz

Bu çalışma, tüketim tercihleri ile toplumsal cinsiyet normları arasındaki ilişkiyi incelemek amacıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışmada, katılımcıların cinsiyet, medeni durum, yaş grubu, eğitim durumu ve meslek gruplarına bağlı olarak yemek kültürü, geleneksel cinsiyet rolleri, medya etkisi ve tüketim alışkanlıklarıyla ilgili algıları incelenmiştir. Araştırma sonuçları geleneksel cinsiyet rollerinin tüketim tercihleri ile ilişkili olarak erkeklerin etkinliğini etkilediği, kadınların yemek pişirme konusunda endişeli olduğu ve medyanın cinsiyet temelli stereotipleri sürdürdüğü gibi toplumdaki yaygın düşünceleri ve algıları yansıtmaktadır. Çalışmanın bulguları, cinsiyetle ilişkilendirilmiş toplumsal normların yemek kültürüne etkisini göstermektedir. Katılımcıların genellikle geleneksel cinsiyet rollerini kabul ettiği ve kadınların ev yemeğiyle ilişkilendirildiği ve toplumda erkeklerin yemekle ilgili konularda daha fazla otoriteye sahip olduğu düşünceleri öne çıkmakla birlikte, demografik faktörlerin katılımcıların algıları üzerinde etkili olduğunu ortaya koymuştur. Bu analizler, toplumsal normların ve beklentilerin bireylerin cinsiyetle ilgili tutumlarını nasıl etkilediğini anlamamıza yardımcı olacağı düşünülmektedir.
