In adventure tourism, which incorporates factors of risk, danger, and excitement, the trust-based relationship established between employees and tourists, as well as the emotional labor displayed, directly impact service quality. The aim of this study is to examine the emotional labor of adventure tourism employees in relation to their vocational personality structures. Within the scope of the research, data were collected from adventure tourism employees via questionnaires using the convenience sampling method. Data obtained from 390 employees operating in various branches such as rafting, mountaineering, and diving across Turkey were analyzed using regression analysis. The findings indicated that employees with a social personality type have a high tendency to exhibit deep acting and genuine acting; the realistic personality type positively affects genuine acting; and the conventional personality type increases surface acting. Consequently, it has been revealed that in adventure tourism involving high risk and interaction, employees' personality traits have a determinative effect on emotional labor strategies. Accordingly, recommendations are offered to managers to consider personality traits in the management of emotional labor, recruitment processes, and position matching.
