Gastronomi Araştırmalarına Bütüncül Bir Bakış: Bibliyometrik Bir Analiz (A Holistic View of Gastronomy Research: A Bibliometric Analysis)

The aim of this study is to examine the developments in gastronomy research. For this purpose, 2130 published documents covering the period 1975-2021 in the WoS database were analyzed using bibliometric analysis. According to the results, 2018 was the year in which the highest number of studies were published. In addition, the rate of increase by years is 11,3%. Based on Lotka's law, it has been revealed that the field of gastronomy is still a developing science. In addition, according to Bradford's law, it was determined that there are 13 journals in the core cluster. The research revealed that the conceptual clustering in gastronomy researches is clustered in two centers as culture and tourism-based gastronomy studies and food and beverage production-based gastronomy studies.
